Celebrity endorsement
On Saturday we went to see Black Milk and Elzhi at Cargo. Unfortunately Elzhi wasn’t allowed into the country at customs, so Black Milk tore it up solo instead. He was also kind enough to pose with a Second Son sticker for our boy Nick from Manchester, although he did ask first if it was a sticker for a gay night. Nick said it was indeed, and he posed for the photo anyway. Take that, critics of rap’s homophobia.
After Cargo we headed off to Plastic People for Jude’s night Nonsense, where Black Milk was also playing. At this point my memories become a bit of a blur out of which I can vaguely pick out leopard-print clad Canadians, sambuca and very good music. Jehst also turned up rocking a pair of our Regular Jeans and became the second rapper to pose for Nick’s camera. Good times, if I could only remember them.
