First up apologies for the lateness of this post. Secondly thanks to everyone that came down to support the latest installment of the Reset. For us, it’s the only chance we get to sell stock the way we want to and to meet customers face to face and hear what we’re doing right and what’s not quite so right. Thanks again, we had a blast.

We say a fond farewell this week to one of London’s best loved clothing & sneaker stores, Gloria’s. A favourite among East London natives and out of town sneaker junkies, Gloria’s had long helped establish London, and East London in particular, as a leader among the streetwear style elite. Thanks largely to the work of Pete Yak, who always strove to offer heads an alternative to what most other stores were serving up, Gloria’s found it’s way into the mental road maps of many a roaming Dunk loving urchin. As a kid fresh back from living in DC, where Major was the only source for truly dope kicks, Gloria’s had long offered me a place to go and chill, save up and splash on a new pair of whatever, and stand outside smoking cigerettes pretending to be cool, long before people had Fixed Gears to lean on.
Gloria’s was also one of Second Son’s first stockists, and for that we are all grateful. Anyway, we’re sure there’s going to be a goodbye jumpie at some point, but for now we’re wishing everyone at Gloria’s the best of luck for the future. Nuff said.

So our good pals at premier sneaker boutique ryöüki have finally dropped their Lacoste collab. We showed you some photos of the launch party mayhem previously, and here’s a closer look at the shoe itself. If you haven’t copped yet then I seriously recommend you grab one of the last remaining pairs from ryöüki as these are absolute bangers.
You know how sneaker collabs often look like a wild baboon designed some experimental wellington boots for children out of marzipan? Well these are the opposite: discreet and smart, but with enough dope details to please the nerds (silver lace tips, black 3M and a speckled midsole - peep Crooked Tongues for more details). Nice work Ry, even if you do look like Patrick Swayze with a buzzcut…
